was 47. novato 47, napa 36, redwood city, half-moon bay 40 degrees. you can probably find some 30s and it tends to be a little warm as you get that east wind. every sign is building to the north which will be good today but it will drive in a very cold system starting tonight into thursday. slightly warmer and it will take long to warm up and this will be the warmest day as temperatures will go right off the edge in the next 48 hours. today morning fog and some is very thick but sunshine especially near the coast and santa clara valley but don't get used to it. very low snow levels as we can get enough moisture. cold and for some not too bad on the coast. some areas are in the 50s like antioch and fairfield, redwood city 65 and livermore, some nice but not too warm. a little cooler on wednesday but it looks breezy for sunday and monday. >>> it has been two years since the tucson arizona shooting ram paint and the big announcement comes today. former congresswoman gabrielle giffords is planning to do something in just a few hours and we will have more on that. >>> and there is more

. the temperatures are warming in a number of places. 66 degrees and the same in napa. oakland, redwood city and half moon bay. as for take a live look outside with the increase with clouds from a system to the north. so far, not a lot of rain with just some of rainfall totals isolated. the satellite showing some sporadic shower activity. just to the south over the el diablo range. we are bracing for the system but not that strong. as it is moving towards us it is a drying up. not much rainfall associated. a bit of a break and clear skies in spotty cloud patterns offshore. with more showers near the coast. and also indicating cold temperatures. it is coming out from the gulf of alaska. spot a shower activity but some areas hit or miss. keeping the umbrella handy but you will notice partly cloudy skies and mostly sunny for the weekend. showers here, there. the dry, warm weekend will continue. however, by 8:00 p.m., still the possibility of lingering showers otherwise, dry conditions returning to the northward just some areas of the very light rain and that is it. we will start to see the clouds of dec

the city livermore, napa, maybe your backyard as well. warmer tomorrow and a dry forecast, and by thursday, friday, saturday, it will be a north wind and this does not look like much of a rain system, but we are setting up with the overnight lows and the dew point is bringing in fog. it has developed closer to the coast and bay as well and there are a lot of high clouds so we have partly cloudy skies and 30s and 40s on the temperatures. temperatures in antioch anywhere from 46 to 38. around pittsburgh it is 36 so take your pick. still that will give us a gray day, it is a dry pattern most of the week and i am concerned there could be fast moving showers thursday and friday and the big news, it looks to be a very brisk pattern as we go forward wednesday and thursday. patchy cold, a light breeze, we have that breeze in place and it might pick up, temperatures very low 50s and 60s, partly sunny skies to the south, warmer on tuesday and we start to see that system develop and it will slide in here and temperatures really take a plunge. so far the weekend looks good, very breezy and cool. >>> t

to yesterday and san jose is getting pretty close to 60. 664 vallejo and napa 56 in daly city. 7 day around the bay shows very mild, tranquil and dry conditions for the next couple of days. low pressure will start to sneak its way in saturday night into sunday. it could be just a slight chance for a shower. right now looks like a 20 percent chance. high pressure is back in control as we head into monday and expect sunny conditions, pleasant weather and temperatures in the low 60s. overall pretty tranquil forecast ahead of us. we do not have any major events to talk about at least for the first two weeks of january. metering lights are on and take a look at this back up. this is a typical ride sell a lot of people i guess are heading back to work. the nimitz freeway is still your best bet into san francisco. the salmon sale bridge is another typical day headed back to work westbound 92 is 13 minutes from and and and southbound 1 01 the golden gate bridge is looking pretty good with lots of space between cars and no issues with visibility. we have reports of black eyes northbound to 80 just s

. half moon bay 60. napa, concord and redwood city all hit the upper 50s. so what happened? we were supposed to be drying out. that's because this low pressure area spinning right there was supposed to be about 300 miles farther south. it didn't move so it is still continuing to feed moisture in our direction. remember winds flow counterclockwise around low pressure so when it's down to the south we are getting the moisture coming up in the south. it didn't move, so guess what the showers didn't, either. now it looks like that low pressure area will still be close to us tomorrow. so weather can't rule out showers especially toward the south bay once again for your friday and then on sunday, we'll have another chance of showers. then all of that stuff gets pushed out of the way by this area of high pressure. but it's going to stay off to our west:winds go clockwise around high pressure so we follow the arrows coming down from the north. it will be sunny next week but it's also going to be chilly. we'll have lows in the 30s and highs only in the lo
